Terms of Use
The service
Arabist is an AI-assisted paleography service for Arabic manuscripts. It produces transcription, morphology, glossary, translation, bibliography, and catalog records from images you upload. Output is provided as scholarly aid and should be verified by a qualified specialist before publication or citation.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for all activity performed under your account. Keep your credentials confidential and notify us of any unauthorised access.
Acceptable use
Upload only manuscripts you have the right to process. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, resell API access, circumvent rate limits, or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.
Content
You retain ownership of the images and text you upload. You grant Arabist a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process them for the sole purpose of producing your scholarly report. We do not use your uploads to train third-party models.
Payments, credits and subscriptions
Paid plans and page credits are processed by our payment provider. Prices are shown in the currencies listed on the pricing page and may include applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled from your account. Page credits are non-transferable. Refund terms are described in our Refund Policy.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features, models, and pricing may change over time; we will provide reasonable notice of material changes to paid plans.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arabist is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
